COLM MAC CON IOMAIRE!

Colm Mac Con Iomaire - Blue Shoes (Bróga Gorma) by the ruckus

(Emer's Dream and Blue Shoes are the most popular and possibly among the best songs on the album.)

Do you have that playlist or artist that you can always listen to if you need to chill/zone-out/relax or fall asleep to?  Well, Colm Mac Con Iomaire is mine.  I realized today, while listening to them (him?) on the way back to school, that even though I've loved Colm since before I started Mad World, I've never posted any stuff of theirs.

Colm Mac has everything from Violin and Acoustic Guitar to Drums, Whistling, and Processed Violin/Viola.  I implore you to CHECK OUT THIS BAND and buy their album on itunes! It is definitely worth it-  I'd be surprised if you didn't like it.

Here is a partial explanation of their Irish name from their Myspace page:
"The phrase "The Hare's Corner" comes from the ancient Irish Custom of at harvest time leaving a corner of a field uncut as a refuge for the Hare to escape to."

UPDATE: It turns out that Colm is/was the violinist for both Swell Season (the guys from Once) and The Frames.
